Being a relatively new market for Direct Dimensions, we have found numerous uses for our technology that can better assist artists, architects, and surveyors discover a faster solution to their specific sculpting, building, and restoration challenges.
Enlargement
Using our laser scanners and modeling technology we can capture the exact form of your piece and virtually scale it to any size. That model can then be used to manufacture a replica.
Museum Artifacts
We can visit any museum and without touching a piece, can capture 3D data of the object, and then replicate it for gift shop figurines, full-size replicas, etc.
Fraud Prevention
If there is ever a question about the authenticity of a piece, or to compare multiple copies, Direct Dimensions can do it. Using our laser scanners, we can capture the 3D data and analyze exactly where the pieces differ.
Historic Preservation
With some memorials and national monuments aging more rapidly than expected due to pollution, vandalism, etc. Direct Dimensions has the ability to preserve a digital copy of the monument and can use the data to rebuild it exactly as it stands today.
Virtual Restoration
For certain objects that are beyond repair, Direct Dimensions can laser scan, digitize, and virtually model the object back to the original design. The model can then be used to remanufacture the object better than it was before.
Terrain/Facility Mapping
Due to weather, natural disasters, or even planning for new structures, Direct Dimensions can analyze the landscape and provide a digital model that can be used to assist with the planning phases of an architectural endeavor.
